A really great dictionary! I have used a hard copy of the dictionary and was already delighted about the quality of the dictionary. As one of the others mentioned it’s really one of the best dictionaries available. And I have seen a lot (as I learned Russian, English and French in school, studied Dutch and Arabic and learned Welsh). And now the digital version has topped it all and is even better. The audio examples of the pronunciation is very helpful especially if you are learning the language far away from native speakers. I love it that I have now all example sentences which contains the word I looked up. And that I can “jump” so easy from one word to another word. That makes it much easier to learn the language.
It’s a great contribution to the revitalization of the Lakota language.

Great dictionary and very useful. I had a copy of the printed dictionary but this software provides new hints and nuances so I feel it like supplementary to the book.
I had some problems installing it but the customers support solved all my problems efficiently.

I'm a linguist and have a huge collection of grammar books and dictionaries and so I can say with a little bit of experience at least, that this is one of the finest dictionaries it's possible to get on the market. There is a Norwegian and a Czech dictionary I know of that are of similar quality, but this one ha even more. It has multiple examples of usage for each word. It has a button you can click to actually hear the word you are looking up. It has an optional Lakota keyboard, so you can type in the characters with diacritics you want, but the words are actually normalized, as well, so you don't have to know exactly how something is spelled with the diacritics. You do have to put in the apostrophe, however, for glottal stops. There are other handy features, as well, but these were the most helpful ones to me.

This dictionary has helped TREMENDOUSLY!!! It gives examples for exact use of words, pronunciation of words by both male & female. Valuable tool for those serious about learning the language!

This dictionary is the best. The addition of audio, example sentences for context makes it a pleasure to use. This is already speeding up my ability to speak and write the Lakota Language.

This is one of the best dictionaries I got my hands on. I do really like the fact, that it also gives me the right pronunciation. I am really happy about this because now I can talk to my friends in their language.
